Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jim Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darth Mauler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Darth Mauler!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Dixon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mauler throws a nice outside leg kick.
Mauler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dixon has time to react.
Dixon throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mauler counters with a left to the body.
Dixon misses with a lunging right hand
and Mauler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Dixon takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Mauler looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

enabling Mauler to counter with a crisp jab.
Dixon throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mauler counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dixon thinking.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mauler lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dixon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Mauler jabs Dixon to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Dixon misses with a left hand
and Mauler counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Mauler scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dixon doesn't seem bothered though.
Mauler scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Mauler feints and then cracks Dixon's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dixon down.

Dixon misses the jab.
Mauler is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Dixon rather than just go for the knockout.
Mauler cracks Dixon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mauler ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dixon throws out a loose jab but Mauler uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dixon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mauler sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dixon throws a right hand that misses
and Mauler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dixon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mauler ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Dixon throws a poor cross that misses
and Mauler counters with a nice uppercut.
Dixon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mauler avoids it really well and circles away.
Dixon is breathing heavily.
Dixon throws a lazy uppercut
and Mauler counters with a stiff right hand.
Mauler has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mauler there as he acknowledges the shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mauler fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Dixon misses the jab.
Dixon misses with an uppercut
and Mauler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dixon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jim Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mauler sizes up Dixon with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mauler dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Mauler bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Mauler dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Dixon. That did some damage!

and Mauler counters with a good low kick that Dixon was not able to check.
Mauler lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dixon misses with a takedown attempt - Mauler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Dixon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mauler uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Mauler lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Dixon misses with a hook
and Mauler counters with a good, hard body kick but Dixon shrugs it off.

Dixon is rocked!
Mauler pounces like a tiger and cracks Dixon with a vicious hook! Dixon is down but not out! Mauler follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Darth Mauler!
An out of breath Darth Mauler thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
