The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyrm� bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Tyrm� slips under a jab from Laranja.
Tyrm� tries to clinch up but Laranja circles away and keeps his distance.
Laranja attempts a counter takedown but Tyrm� avoids it well and moves away.
Tyrm� is looking to clinch.
Kauko Tyrm� seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sloppy strikes from Tyrm�. Those never looked like landing.
Laranja closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tyrm� did well to prevent Laranja getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Laranja tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tyrm� knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Laranja is trying to work for a kimura but Tyrm� is defending well.
Laranja is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tyrm� is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Renato Laranja thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
