Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Olssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Udovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyson Olssen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Simon Udovich!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olssen has a takedown stuffed.
Udovich drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Olssen defends it well.
Olssen misses with a body kick.
Olssen fails with the takedown.
Olssen darts in looking for a takedown but Udovich gets double underhooks and turns Olssen into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Olssen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Olssen tries to clinch up.
Udovich tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Udovich should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Olssen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Udovich avoids it really well and circles away.
Udovich appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Olssen throws a hook to the side of Udovich's head but Udovich sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Udovich has eaten all the pies!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Olssen.
Udovich keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

A countering left hand to the body from Udovich misses.
Udovich blocks the body kick.
Udovich with the counter takedown but Olssen avoids it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Olssen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Udovich takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Olssen tries to roll over but Udovich keeps him under control.

Olssen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Udovich is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

and Udovich counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Udovich stalling.

Udovich stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Udovich wants it to stay on the feet.
Olssen lands a head kick!
Olssen tries to clinch there but Udovich circles away.
And Udovich tries to counter it with a takedown but Olssen pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Olssen shoots in for a double leg but Udovich sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Olssen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Udovich circles away quickly and effectively.
Udovich lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Olssen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Udovich counters by moving into the clinch.
Udovich slows down the pace here.

Udovich has picked Olssen up - he's going for a ride! Udovich dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Still in half guard, Udovich seems content to control.
Let's hope that Udovich has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Olssen is trying to control but Udovich manages to pass to mount!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Olssen tries to lock up and control but Udovich gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Udovich has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Udovich is continuing to stall.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Olssen tries to improve his position but instead Udovich has taken his back!
Udovich biding his time, controlling Olssen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Udovich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Olssen is looking for a sweep. Udovich is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Olssen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Udovich pinned against the cage. Udovich gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Olssen.
Olssen shoots in for a takedown but Udovich shows good takedown defense.

Olssen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Udovich manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Udovich changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Olssen shoots in but Udovich avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Olssen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Udovich as he jumps to the side.
Udovich drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Olssen defends it well.
Tyson Olssen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Olssen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Olssen dives in and grabs Udovich's left leg, looking for a takedown. Udovich pushes down on Olssen's head and hops out.
Olssen doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Udovich counters with a leg kick.

Simon Udovich has got the better of the ground game so far.
Udovich tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Tyson Olssen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Simon Udovich is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Udovich has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
