Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hajime No Ippo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenshin Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). No Ippo comes to the cage accompanied by Hajime Theme. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hajime No Ippo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenshin Himura!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No Ippo misses with a wild combination.

Himura has taken the fight to the clinch.
No Ippo wants to get back to striking at distance but Himura won't allow it.
No Ippo wants to break free but Himura has control.
Himura has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by No Ippo after a bit of a struggle.

Himura successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
No Ippo wanted to stand there but Himura had control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Himura throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Himura has a closed guard, preventing No Ippo from standing up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Himura seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Himura has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
No Ippo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Himura is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
No Ippo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
No Ippo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Himura circles away quickly and effectively.
No Ippo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Himura.
No Ippo lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
No Ippo fails to land with a series of punches.
No Ippo misses with a wild combination.
Himura swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
No Ippo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


Himura is rocked!


It looks like Kenshin Himura has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
No Ippo steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Himura is out on his feet! No Ippo sets himself and nearly takes Himura's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hajime No Ippo!
An intense looking Hajime No Ippo took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Eu curto é um bacalhau e tou doido pra comer a Kumi Mashiba também ...'.
