Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Wates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Cesar Waters! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George Wates! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wates closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Waters wants to get back to his feet but Wates drags him back down. Wates taking a breather here. Waters pushes Wates away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wates gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Wates is looking to take a break and control but Waters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Waters wants to control but Wates postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waters is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wates has just dragged him back down to the mat. Wates cracks Waters with a big elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wates throws an elbow but Waters slips to the side and avoids it well. Wates tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Wates has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Wates gets a takedown into half guard. Waters is not content to let Wates control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wates throwing shots but Waters is blocking nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wates throwing shots but Waters is blocking nicely. Wates wants to pass the guard but Waters is defending well. Wates is looking to take a break and control but Waters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Waters enables Wates to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Waters manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Waters wants to get back to his feet but Wates is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Waters will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wates trying to control the position from guard on top but Waters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wates lands a couple of decent looking shots. Wates stands and steps away. Waters gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Waters gets a double leg takedown into Wates's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wates is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Waters stops Wates from standing up. We've been informed that Wates has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Waters loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wates has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Waters is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Waters drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Wates has Waters pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wates pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Waters tumbling to the mat - Wates dives into Waters's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Wates dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Waters shoots in for a takedown but Wates shows good takedown defense. Wates raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Wates moves into range and clinches up with Waters. Wates has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wates breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wates throws a lazy head kick and Waters counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Wates fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Waters sprawls well initially but Wates persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wates tries to pass the half guard into mount. Waters knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wates throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wates trying to mount his opponent but Waters defends it. Wates escapes and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wates closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Waters quickly recovers to half guard. Wates decides to stand up. Wates connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Waters! He's out on his feet! Wates rushes in and drops Waters with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
