Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Burgess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Indigo Starseed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burgess kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is travis barker push em. Starseed has chosen Bass Nectar- Take You Down as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 22 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony Burgess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Indigo Starseed!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Starseed shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Burgess wants to get back to his feet.
Starseed is thwarting Burgess's attempts to control the position.
Starseed working Burgess over with strikes.

Starseed wants to work for an arm triangle but Burgess is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Starseed is trying to work for a kimura but Burgess is defending well.
Burgess is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burgess is looking to control Starseed's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Burgess avoid being mounted?
Starseed is pressing down on Burgess's thigh, looking to free his foot. Burgess is holding on for now.

Starseed is looking for a kimura but Burgess is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Starseed to get the leverage.

Burgess wants to get back to his feet.

Starseed is trying to work for a kimura but Burgess is defending well.
Burgess moves into full guard.
Starseed scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Starseed looking to pass the guard.
Burgess keeping moving, preventing Starseed from controlling successfully.
Burgess wants to stand and escape but Starseed is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Starseed's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Burgess wants to sweep here but Starseed controlling him for the moment.
Burgess wants to get back to his feet but Starseed is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Burgess looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Starseed lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Starseed explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Starseed closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Burgess's guard.
Starseed wants to control from the top but Burgess keeps moving.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Burgess seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Starseed stopping the sweep attempt from Burgess.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Starseed sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burgess's guard.
Starseed performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Starseed seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burgess does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Starseed is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Starseed not doing much here.
Starseed tries to pass the half guard into mount. Burgess knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Burgess tries to roll over but Starseed keeps him under control.
Burgess trying to control from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Starseed is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burgess is just riding it out for now. Starseed eventually gives up the hold.

Starseed is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Burgess defends it well.
Burgess wants to get back to his feet.

Starseed seems to be looking for submissions.
Burgess throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Burgess tries to get to full guard but Starseed has control of the leg.
Burgess blocking the ground and pound attempt from Starseed.
Starseed prevents Burgess from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Indigo Starseed dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Starseed avoids a punch combination nicely.
Burgess will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Anthony Burgess is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Burgess swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Starseed fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burgess manages to avoid it.
Burgess went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Burgess misses with a two punch combination.
Burgess misses with a few strikes there.
Burgess throws a nice looking combination but Starseed bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Starseed shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Burgess throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Starseed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Burgess.
Starseed throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Burgess throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Starseed scores with a leg kick.
Burgess throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Starseed counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Starseed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Starseed passes Burgess's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Starseed is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Burgess is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Indigo Starseed!
As Indigo Starseed got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: Man first off I want to say thank you to the creator for allowing me to show you all my true potential tonight, and then I would like to thank Broken Halo Pride!
