Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zander Harland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinn is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Crisis by Twista Feat. Tech N9ne. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zander Harland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Quinn! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harland has managed to clinch.
Quinn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Harland gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Quinn can't get the takedown.
Harland has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Quinn clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Quinn trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Harland is hanging on to Quinn's back as he tries to escape.
Harland throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Quinn!
Quinn trying to control the position but Harland manages to sink in the hooks. Will Harland go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Quinn manages to reverse the position and now he's in Harland's guard. Nice work there by Quinn.
Quinn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Harland trying to keep a closed guard but Quinn is proving a slippery customer.
Quinn is in close to Harland's body, working some short punches and elbows. Quinn scoring with some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quinn is pushing down on Harland's leg trying to pass to half guard. Harland is fighting to maintain full guard but Quinn has managed to sneak the leg through. Quinn is trying to control the action in half guard but Harland is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Harland keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Quinn lands a nice short elbow. Quinn throwing shots but Harland is blocking nicely. Quinn wants to pass the guard but Harland is defending well. Harland might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Harland is looking for a sweep. Quinn is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Quinn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Harland's head. Quinn trying to control from Harland's half guard. Harland has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Quinn trying to control but Harland is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quinn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Quinn with a flurry of punches that miss. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Quinn throwing strikes from guard but Harland blocks nicely. Quinn stands up over Harland, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Harland keeping full guard, as Quinn tries to pass. Quinn throwing strikes from guard but Harland blocks nicely. Quinn is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Quinn trying to control but Harland is working from the bottom. Quinn passes Harland's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Harland regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Quinn. Quinn lands a couple of decent looking shots. Quinn landing some decent shots from guard. Quinn drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Harland dives on top into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Quinn throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That was a close round but I would say that Zander Harland will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Harland is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Quinn throws a low kick but Harland moves out of range easily. Harland shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Quinn napping and manages to drive through into side control! Quinn is looking for a sweep. Quinn on the wrong end of some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quinn tries to get back to half guard but can't. Harland wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quinn keeps working. Quinn is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harland is trying to ground and pound but Quinn uses the momentary lack of control by Harland to regain half guard. Harland working over Quinn with some ground and pound. Quinn looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Harland wants to take a breather but Quinn is having none of it. Quinn tries to get to full guard but Harland has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Quinn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Harland pulls his head out easily. Harland slips a nice elbow through Quinn's hands, connecting with Quinn's forehead. Ground and pound from Harland. Harland is keen to just control but Quinn is a slippery customer. Harland looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Quinn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Harland performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Quinn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harland postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Quinn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Quinn fails with a takedown attempt. Quinn closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Quinn tries to score a body lock takedown but Harland shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Quinn is trying to pull guard but Harland turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Zander Harland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Quinn. Harland looks to throw an elbow but misses. Quinn blocks an elbow strike from Harland.

"Ole!" shouts Harland as he jumps to the side. A quick step to the side and Harland tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. A telegraphed right hand from Harland misses the target. Harland throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Quinn shoots for a double leg takedown but Harland sprawls well. He's pushed Quinn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Harland fails in his attempt to clinch. Quinn feints the counter takedown. Harland misses with a looping left. Harland throws a hook but Quinn blocks it. Quinn wants to counter with a clinch but Harland pushes him away. Zander Harland is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Harland instigates a clinch. Quinn goes for a takedown in the clinch but Harland prevents it.
