Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jim Lahey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Torin Fann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Torin Fann looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Lahey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Torin Fann! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lahey punishes Fann's body with a nice straight punch. Fann looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Fann shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lahey as he jumps to the side. Lahey looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Fann fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lahey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fann. Fann on the wrong end of a nice jab. Lahey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fann has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Fann takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Lahey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fann napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lahey trying to control the position but Fann is working away. Lahey is staying tight to Fann's torso, preventing him from escaping. Lahey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fann keeps working. Lahey creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lahey is looking to take a break and control but Fann is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fann takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Lahey works to advance to full mount. Fann defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Lahey breaks from Fann's wrist control and lands an elbow. Lahey is trying to take his opponent's back.
Lahey is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Fann has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lahey lands a big shot there that rocks Fann but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lahey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fann is looking to escape. Fann looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Lahey controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lahey looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Lahey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fann is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A head kick misses from Fann. Fann closes the distance looking to clinch and Lahey makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Lahey scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fann tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lahey defends well and Fann ends up having to push Lahey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Lahey tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Fann manages to circle out of the way. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lahey moves into the clinch. Fann is breathing heavily. Lahey slows down the pace here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fann with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Lahey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fann keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lahey with a jab. Lahey gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Lahey lands with a light punch inside. Lahey stalling.
Lahey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lahey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fann is fending him off so far but Lahey persists. Nope, Fann circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lahey lands a jab to the nose. Fann shoots in looking for a takedown but Lahey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fann's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Lahey tries to clinch there but Fann circles away.
Lahey shoots in and gets a takedown into Fann's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lahey content to stall in guard here. Lahey with a nice head shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fann preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jim Lahey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lahey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lahey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Lahey passes easily into side control. Nice work. Lahey lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Fann down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lahey scores with punches from side control. Lahey landing a few strikes. Lahey is trying to get an arm triangle but Fann is defending well. Lahey wants to control but Fann is keeping him busy. Lahey passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Fann! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lahey trying to control but Fann is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jim Lahey dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
The fighters circle momentarily. Lahey darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Torin Fann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lahey has managed to clinch.

Lahey swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Left hook, right uppercut from Lahey. Lahey lands with a good body shot. Fann misses with a takedown attempt enabling Lahey to counter with a crisp jab. Fann takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Fann stopping the sweep attempt from Lahey. Lahey is pulling down on Fann's head to control his posture. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lahey is on top in guard.
Lahey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fann can do to turn this around? Lahey wants to control from the top but Fann keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lahey makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Lahey looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Fann wants to improve his position but instead Lahey has moved into half guard.
Fann won't allow Lahey to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lahey wants to control but Fann is keeping him busy. Lahey is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lahey with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jim Lahey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lahey is working for a submission of some sort.
Lahey is keen to just control but Fann is a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Torin Fann has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fann fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Lahey showed his dominance in that final round. Well Lahey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
