Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sean Curry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Block (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ted Block has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sean Curry's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Curry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ted Block!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Block throws a right and a left that both miss.
Curry is looking for a counter combo.

Block clinches with his opponent.
Block tries a knee to the head but Curry blocks it.
Curry blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Curry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Block takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Block rushes Curry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Curry is trying to force a seperation but Block has the dominant position.

Block tightens his grip and picks Curry up, before dumping him to the ground. Curry manages to land in guard.

Curry pushes Block off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Block throws a right and a left that Curry avoids nicely.

Block closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Curry quickly recovers to half guard.
Block looks winded!
Curry is looking to improve his position.
Curry wants to control but Block is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Block wants to control but Curry is keeping him busy.
Curry tries to kick Block off but Block keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Curry works his way to full guard. Good work.
Curry looking for a sweep. Not yet Curry, not yet.
Curry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Block wants to control from the top but Curry keeps moving.
Block throws an elbow that misses. Curry uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Block's guard. Nice move by Curry!

Curry postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Curry gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Block moves into range and clinches up with Curry.
Block throws an elbow but it misses.
Curry is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Curry has clasped his hands together around Block's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Block is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
You can see the frustration on Block's face as Curry controls the position.
Curry in side control, throwing shots but Block defends.
Curry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Curry decides to stand back up.
Ted Block seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Block looks for the body kick but Curry saw that one coming.

Block clinches up against the cage.

Block pulls guard.
Curry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Curry in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Block working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Curry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Curry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Block wants to stand up but Curry is controlling him.

Curry stands up from Block's guard - Curry perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Curry clinches up with Block and pushes him back against the cage.
Curry lands with a left to the head.
Curry blocks an elbow strike.
Block prevents Curry from breaking the clinch.

Block pulls guard effortlessly.
Block preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Curry postures up in Block's guard and throws a big left but Block blocks it.
Curry throwing strikes from guard but Block blocks nicely.
Block being controlled here, momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ted Block will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Block misses with the combination.
It looked like Curry was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Block throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Curry gets a clinch.
Curry wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Curry breaks the clinch.

Curry moves into the clinch.

Curry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Block closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Curry escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Block gets a double leg takedown into Curry's guard.
Block is breathing heavily.
Curry is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Block is controlling him.
Curry seems keen to control Block's posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Block trying to control but Curry is working from the bottom.
Curry trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Curry wants to sweep here but Block controlling him for the moment.
Curry pulls Block in close to his closed guard and prevents Block from doing any damage or advancing position.
Block trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Block throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Curry was covering up waiting for the punch and Block finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ted Block has got the better of the ground game so far.
Curry lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Curry postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Curry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Block avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Block looking to control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Curry's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Curry throwing strikes from guard but Block blocks nicely.
Curry makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Curry slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Curry gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Block throws the left hand but Curry avoids the punch easily.
Block fails to land with a series of punches.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Curry manages to break the clinch.

Block scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Curry sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Block wants to control but Curry is keeping him busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Curry trying to control from the bottom.
Curry makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Curry.
Curry lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ted Block will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

and Curry counters with a nice kick to the body.
Block swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Curry counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Ted Block seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Block darts in and clinches Curry up against the cage.

Curry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Curry is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Block's half guard.

Curry is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Block is looking to improve his position.
Block takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Block wants to control but Curry is keeping busy.
Curry seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Curry seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Block is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
