Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boris Nedkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike King! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nedkov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in King's half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nedkov lands a nice short elbow. Nedkov thows a huge punch but King dodges it nicely.
King is trying to stand up here but Nedkov is controlling him well. Nedkov working the head and body with strikes. Nedkov seems to be working for a kimura but King defends the submission attempt. King looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nedkov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but King sees it coming and defends easily. Nedkov is trying to work for a kimura but King is defending well.

King is in trouble now - Nedkov has advanced to mount! Nedkov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nedkov putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nedkov controlling from the full mount. King tries to hold on but Nedkov postures up. Nedkov working for a guillotine from mount but King is in no mood to give up. Nedkov landing strikes from the mount. The referee warns King that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Nedkov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nedkov landing shots from mount. Nedkov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force King to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so King shrugs it off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nedkov with the ground and pound from mount. Nedkov landing punches. Nedkov landing punches. Nedkov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of King's face.
King is looking to get to half guard. Nedkov controlling his opponent. Nedkov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can King hang on? Nedkov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but King manages to avoid the submission attempt. King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nedkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Nedkov advances to full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. King is in a horrible position here. Nedkov smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Nedkov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for King! Nedkov has hold of King's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! King tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nedkov cranks the arm and King screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from King, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Boris Nedkov! After the fight, Boris Nedkov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
