Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jekyll Dall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rey Solo! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Solo trying to mount his opponent but Dall defends it. Dall is looking for a sweep. Solo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Solo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dall doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Solo. Solo seems to be working for a kimura but Dall defends the submission attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Solo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dall has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Solo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Solo trying to control the action but Dall is working from the bottom. Dall trying to control but Solo postures up.
Solo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Dall keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solo has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Dall is forced to tap!
