The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Thomas might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

That was a close round but I would say that Daiki Tanimoto will probably get the nod.

Thomas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Tanimoto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Thomas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Daiki Tanimoto is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Tanimoto is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

JJ Thomas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Tanimoto has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
