The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz misses with a lunging right hand
and Kimura counters with a nice double leg into side control. Diaz won't be happy with that.
Kimura staying calm.
Kimura looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Diaz is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Kimura in side control, throwing shots but Diaz defends.
Kimura working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kimura tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Diaz prevents Kimura from moving into mount.

Kimura has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Diaz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kimura yanks on the arm and Diaz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kimura.
