The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tremblay misses with a double jab
and Mahones makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Tremblay tries for a takedown but Mahones circles away easily
and Mahones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tremblay thinking.
Mahones swinging wildly here.
Tremblay could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tremblay has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tremblay throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mahones counters with a stiff right hand.
Tremblay wants to clinch but Mahones slips to the side
and Mahones counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Tremblay throws a left and a right that both miss
and Mahones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tremblay misses with a takedown
and Mahones counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Tremblay gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mahones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zachary Tremblay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tremblay tries for a takedown but Mahones circles away easily
and Mahones counters with a huge left! Tremblay is in big trouble! He's backing up but Mahones isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Tremblay from any more damage. A dominating finish by Mahones!

Stones Mahones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
