Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leon Cornwall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Plouman Jnr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Plouman Jnr! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cornwall takes the fight into the clinch. Cornwall decides to pull guard. Plouman Jnr postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Cornwall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Plouman Jnr, into his guard. Plouman Jnr keeping moving, preventing Cornwall from controlling successfully. Cornwall is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Plouman Jnr is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cornwall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Plouman Jnr has an active guard here but Cornwall has managed to pass into half guard.
Plouman Jnr wants to improve his position but Cornwall is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plouman Jnr slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Plouman Jnr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cornwall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Plouman Jnr working for submissions but it's allowed Cornwall to get to half guard.
Cornwall is keen to just control but Plouman Jnr is a slippery customer. Plouman Jnr actively working from the bottom here. Plouman Jnr looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Plouman Jnr is trying to maintain the position but Cornwall is very close to passing his half guard. Plouman Jnr is looking to improve his position.

Plouman Jnr is looking to regain half guard here but Cornwall keeps moving and retains side control. Cornwall is trying to get an arm triangle but Plouman Jnr is defending well. Plouman Jnr is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cornwall trying to control the action but Plouman Jnr is working from the bottom. Cornwall is really struggling to control Plouman Jnr but he's trying to hold on to the position. Plouman Jnr tries to buck Cornwall off but Cornwall is having none of it. Plouman Jnr keeps trying to improve his position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Plouman Jnr parries the strikes from Cornwall easily there. Cornwall is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Plouman Jnr to escape.

Plouman Jnr shoots for a takedown but Cornwall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cornwall wants to clinch up but Plouman Jnr keeps it at a distance. Cornwall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Plouman Jnr tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Cornwall doesn't manage to clinch there - Plouman Jnr circles away.

Cornwall moves to clinch but Plouman Jnr breaks away and Plouman Jnr counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cornwall! Plouman Jnr tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Plouman Jnr wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cornwall, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cornwall is trying to improve his position. Plouman Jnr swings around for an armbar but Cornwall sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Plouman Jnr's guard. Cornwall has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Plouman Jnr is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cornwall has his hands clasped together but Plouman Jnr extends and breaks Cornwall's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Plouman Jnr.
