Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wasim Kayani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall comes to the cage accompanied by Tech N9ne - On The Bible. Kayani is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Audioslave - Exploder. Malcolm Marshall could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Wasim Kayani's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Malcolm Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wasim Kayani! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kayani lands a really nice looking cross but Marshall seems unphased.
A swing and a miss from Kayani. Kayani feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marshall's calf. Kayani walks into a jab. Marshall misses with a straight left. The fighters circling - Kayani throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A nice leg kick lands there from Marshall. Kayani looks to score with a jab to the body but Marshall is just out of range. An attempted straight right counter from Marshall misses the target. Kayani throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Marshall's head. Kayani connects with a nice looking jab.
Kayani moves out of range of the body kick. Marshall wants to land a leg kick but Kayani is out of range. Marshall tries to land a body kick and Kayani counters with a shoot takedown. Marshall fights it but they end up in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Marshall pulls Kayani in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kayani stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marshall swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kayani showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kayani is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Marshall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Marshall has escaped and now he's on top! Marshall wants to pass the guard but Kayani is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kayani tries to land a sweep but no joy. Marshall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kayani swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kayani seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kayani has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marshall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kayani keeping moving, preventing Marshall from controlling successfully. Marshall stays in close to Kayani's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kayani swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kayani has his foot on Marshall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Marshall works his way back into a safe position though. Marshall won't allow Kayani to sweep him here. Kayani is trying to keep Marshall in close.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Marshall just misses with a punch to the body.
Kayani takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Marshall displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kayani throws out the jab. Marshall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Marshall misses the shot to the body. Kayani is trying to counter with his kicks. Kayani misses with a body shot
and Marshall holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kayani wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Marshall has him pressed against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marshall tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kayani's elbow. Kayani is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Kayani lands a body shot. Marshall tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kayani's elbow. Marshall goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Marshall scores with an uppercut up the middle. Kayani is trying to maintain a safe position but Marshall gets an underhook and turns Kayani into the cage. Kayani slowing the pace effectively. A hook to the body from Marshall.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kayani creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A body shot lands from Marshall.
Marshall scores with a nice hook to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marshall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kayani just misses with a punch to the body.
Marshall avoids a lazy jab quite easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Malcolm Marshall will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kayani takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Marshall throws a low kick but Kayani moves out of range easily. Marshall looks to throw the jab but Kayani is out of range. Kayani walks into a jab. Marshall takes the fight into the clinch. Marshall blocks a body shot from Kayani. Marshall struggles to land a body shot inside as Kayani controls his hands.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kayani. Kayani lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Marshall or not. Marshall tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Marshall misses with a hook from the clinch. Kayani misses with a body punch.
Marshall lands a hook to the side of the head. Marshall works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kayani turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Marshall is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kayani off and has taken his back! Marshall is looking to control Kayani but Kayani is wriggling around and keeping busy. Kayani wants to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marshall trying to control. Marshall has the hooks in. Kayani is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Marshall avoiding Kayani 's attempts to control his hands. Kayani has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Wasim Kayani has got the better of the ground game so far. Kayani is trying to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Marshall controlling well, preventing Kayani from escaping the position.
What can Kayani do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marshall avoiding Kayani 's attempts to control his hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marshall is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Kayani tries to escape but Marshall has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Kayani trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Kayani prevents Marshall from getting a body triangle. Marshall is looking for the choke from the back position but Kayani is controlling his hands well. Marshall not allowing Kayani to control his hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Marshall controlling from the back. Marshall has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Marshall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kayani can do to turn this around? Kayani tries to break free.
Marshall trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Kayani doesn't escape. Marshall is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kayani defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kayani staying busy and making it hard for Marshall to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Malcolm Marshall dominated that second round. That's time! Marshall's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Kayani throws a hook but Marshall avoids it easily. Marshall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kayani. Kayani lands a leg kick that knocks Marshall off balance momentarily. Kayani waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Marshall. Marshall tries to counter by clinching up but Kayani breaks away and moves out of range. Kayani looks to land a left hand but Marshall moved out of range nicely. Kayani misses with a looping right. A low kick from Kayani is predictable there and Marshall counters with a leg kick. Kayani fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marshall is out of range. Kayani moves away from the strike by Marshall. Good shot there by Marshall. Malcolm Marshall is winning the standup battle so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kayani takes a swing at Marshall's ribcage but misses. Marshall misses with a leg kick and Kayani makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Marshall tests Kayani's chin there with a solid looking shot. Marshall fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kayani. Kayani loads up on a big right hand but Marshall slips the punch. Kayani lands a head kick!

Kayani slips under a jab from Marshall. Marshall tries to clinch up. Kayani connects with a high kick. Kayani fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Marshall is out of range. Kayani misses with a hook. Marshall ducked under it nicely. Marshall keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kayani. Kayani misses with a two punch combination.
Kayani tried to score with a low kick but Marshall checks it. Marshall lands a leg kick that knocks Kayani off balance momentarily. Wasim Kayani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marshall ducks under a wild hook from Kayani. Marshall punishes Kayani's body with a nice straight punch. Kayani bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Marshall lands with a cross. Marshall tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kayani manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kayani throws a counter combo. Kayani lands the left hand. A telegraphed right hand from Marshall misses the target. Marshall scores with a nice head shot. Kayani swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Kayani scores with a hook to the body. Marshall takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Malcolm Marshall is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kayani thows a left - swing and a miss! Marshall feints and then cracks Kayani's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kayani down. Kayani keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Marshall stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kayani throws a leg kick but Marshall checks it. Marshall looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Marshall feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kayani's calf. Marshall misses with a head kick.
Kayani throws a right and a left that Marshall avoids nicely. Kayani goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Marshall is rocked! Marshall throws a solid leg kick but Kayani takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marshall. Oh Marshall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Marshall swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kayani counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wasim Kayani! During a confident post fight interview, Wasim Kayani thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
