Washington's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, MMA Entrance Theme . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel misses with a straight right.
Washington cracks Steel with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Steel goes for a double leg but Washington avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Washington continues to drive forward.

A looping hook to the body misses from Steel. Washington does a little dance to reset his feet.
Washington tries to bum rush Steel with a series of wild strikes but Steel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looked like Washington wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Steel has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Steel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Washington tries to avoid it but Steel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Washington to the ground. Washington escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Steel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Washington swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Steel might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Washington has got the better of the exchanges.
A jab from Washington finds it's way through Steel's defenses.
Washington is pawing at Steel, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Steel's nose. Steel is badly hurt! Washington pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Steel tries desperately to hold on but Washington is relentless in his assault! As Steel receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Washington away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Washington!
After winning the bout, Joe Washington thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
