Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robby Mareck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mareck has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mareck lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Mareck tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Lewis successfully pulls guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mareck accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mareck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lewis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Mareck must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mareck tries to free his leg and advance position but Lewis is retaining full guard.

Mareck might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lewis haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mareck looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lewis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mareck is trying to control but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Mareck seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Lewis lands a couple of elbows.
Lewis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mareck manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lewis manages to get himself to full guard.

Lewis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lewis tries to get out of the position.

Mareck drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lewis dives on top into guard.

Lewis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Lewis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mareck's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mareck is trying to control but Lewis manages to pass to mount!
Lewis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mareck can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Lewis landing strikes from the mount and Mareck is in trouble!
Lewis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lewis lands a heavy elbow.
We've been hearing that Lewis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lewis tries to control but Mareck wriggling away.
Mareck sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Mareck wants to control but Lewis is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mareck has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Lewis should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mareck has tightened it up now! Lewis should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
