Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koji Murosaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Kennison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murosaki comes into the arena with Now We Are Free blaring out of the sound system. Kennison has chosen Snot- Stoopid as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Koji Murosaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Karl Kennison! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Murosaki wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kennison has him pressed against the cage. Murosaki blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Kennison can't find room to land a body shot as Murosaki controls the action.
Murosaki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kennison lands with an overhand left. Kennison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kennison pushes off an throws an elbow but Murosaki leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Murosaki is looking to break free of the clinch but Kennison has double underhooks. A head punch blocked on the inside by Murosaki. Murosaki blocking some punches.
Murosaki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Murosaki scores with the left hand. Kennison knows he should have avoided that one. Murosaki seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Kennison rushes Murosaki and presses him up against the cage. Murosaki tries to circle away but Kennison has him pinned against the cage. Murosaki breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Murosaki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kennison cracks Murosaki with a right hand to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Murosaki walks into a left hand. Murosaki tries to bum rush Kennison with a series of wild strikes but Kennison uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kennison staying out of range there. Kennison throws a nice outside leg kick. Kennison looks to land a right hand but Murosaki moved out of range. Kennison rushes Murosaki and presses him up against the cage. Murosaki wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kennison throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kennison. Kennison doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Murosaki manages to break the clinch.
Karl Kennison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kennison throws a hook to the side of Murosaki's head but Murosaki sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A chopping leg kick lands by Kennison. Murosaki moves out of range as Kennison strikes. Murosaki was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Murosaki bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kennison doesn't manage to clinch there - Murosaki circles away.
Murosaki misses with a wild combination.
It seemed like Kennison was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kennison darts in and clinches Murosaki up against the cage. Kennison throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murosaki has had enough of the clinch but Kennison keeps him there for the moment. Murosaki takes an elbow to the temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice glancing elbow lands by Kennison. Murosaki wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kennison scores with a nice hook to the head. Kennison misses with an elbow strike.
Murosaki wants to break free but Kennison has control.
Kennison stalling in the clinch but Murosaki improves position. Murosaki blocking some punches.
Murosaki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kennison tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Murosaki drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Murosaki stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kennison has managed to clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Murosaki's face as he tries to break the clinch. Murosaki looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Murosaki takes a shot to the head. Murosaki is trying to break the clinch but Kennison has him pressed against the cage. Kennison gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennison keeps control of Murosaki as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Still in the clinch, Kennison scores with a nice short uppercut. Murosaki is trying to break free. Kennison tries to work over Murosaki's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Murosaki breaks from the clinch.
Murosaki swings and misses with a shot to the body and Kennison counters by clinching up. Murosaki takes a shot to the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Kennison. Murosaki has had enough of the clinch but Kennison keeps him there for the moment. Kennison lands an elbow inside that Murosaki shrugs off. Murosaki is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Murosaki wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Murosaki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Murosaki rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kennison counters with a straight right hand. Murosaki moves away from the strike by Kennison. Murosaki bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kennison's head.
It looks like Karl Kennison has been cut. Murosaki shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Murosaki takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murosaki throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kennison let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Kennison lands a jab to Murosaki's midsection. Kennison uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Murosaki has time to react. Kennison tries to clinch up but Murosaki circles away and keeps his distance. Murosaki throws a head kick that misses and Kennison counters with a stiff right hand.
Murosaki is rocked! Murosaki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kennison circles away quickly and effectively. Oh Murosaki is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crack! Kennison connects with the perfect overhand right and Murosaki falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Kennison!
