The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaleoikaikaokalani connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Pompier swings for the body but Kaleoikaikaokalani moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kaleoikaikaokalani darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Pompier displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kaleoikaikaokalani throws out the jab.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pompier finds Kaleoikaikaokalani's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Kaleoikaikaokalani flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Pompier lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Kaleoikaikaokalani will be OK.

Stephane Pompier decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
