Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Delerium - Silence . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan defending well as Meridius loads up on a big left hand.
Ryan misses with a few strikes there.
Ryan takes a swing at Meridius's ribcage but misses.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Ryan checks a leg kick.
Meridius takes one on the button.
Meridius throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ryan.
Meridius lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Jack Ryan has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Meridius.
Meridius throws a series of strikes that have Ryan backpedaling.
Ryan lands a left and a right that send Meridius crashing to the mat, dazed. Ryan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Maximus Meridius has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ryan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Meridius finds it's way round the side to connect with Ryan's head.
Ryan moves into the clinch successfully.
Ryan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Ryan stalling.
Meridius with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Ryan doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Meridius tries to stall but Ryan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Meridius is trying to force a seperation but Ryan has the dominant position.

Meridius has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ryan is struggling to control the position.
Ryan throws a big uppercut that drops Meridius! More strikes from Ryan and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Meridius lies dazed against the cage as Ryan celebrates with his cornermen!
