Nunes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carpenter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nunes has managed to get both his arms back between Carpenter's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Diego Nunes will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Carpenter looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nunes has picked Carpenter up and slammed him! Carpenter can't keep hold of the triangle and Nunes manages to pass to side control!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carpenter can do anything to dispel that myth.
Nunes advances to full mount.
Carpenter is bucking up trying to escape but Nunes cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Nunes blocks Carpenter's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Nunes lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Carpenter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Nunes is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Carpenter goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Nunes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Diego Nunes!
Diego Nunes opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
