Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between William Munny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donovan Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, William Munny! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donovan Nelson! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson tries to close the distance and clinch but Munny swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nelson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Munny cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nelson fails to land the takedown. Nelson shoots in and drives through. Munny sprawls well. William Munny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donovan Nelson. Nelson throws a right and a left that Munny avoids nicely. Munny misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nelson misses with a takedown attempt and Munny counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Donovan Nelson has been cut. Donovan Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson shoots and misses and Munny counters with a stiff right hand. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Munny. Munny stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Munny scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nelson doesn't seem bothered though. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nelson shoots in but no luck this time. Munny lands a lovely overhand right. Munny has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Nelson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Munny moves into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munny scores with a shoulder strike. Munny lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Still in the clinch, Munny scores with a nice short uppercut. Nelson throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Munny lands a right hand. Nelson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short uppercut from Munny. Nelson is trying to push Munny away but Munny has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Munny scores with a nice hook to the head. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Munny lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nelson backwards. A nice left hand lands by Munny.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nelson is looking for a takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Munny dodges an elbow strike from Nelson.
Munny gets through Nelson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Munny lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Nelson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Munny gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Munny lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Munny lands a right hand. Nelson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Munny fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Munny connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nelson's hands. Munny closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Nelson wants a takedown.

Nelson wants to take the fight to the mat but Munny manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Munny throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nelsons head. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Munny lands a shoulder strike. Still in the clinch, Munny scores with a nice short uppercut. A short right from Munny. Munny gets through Nelson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Nelson wants a takedown but no success here.
Munny is pressed up against the ropes. Nelson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Munny down to the mat. Munny avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Munny scores with a punch to the head. Munny scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Nelson closes the distance looking to clinch enabling Munny to counter with a crisp jab.
Nelson is rocked! Munny lands a right hook to the body.
We've been informed that Nelson has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nelson shoots in for a takedown but Munny shows good takedown defense. Munny lands with a cross. Nelson tries to clinch up but Munny circles away and keeps his distance. Nelson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Munny connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nelson scrambles back to his feet. Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Munny finish him?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nelson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. William Munny is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nelson gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Munny gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Munny!
