Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Burke. That's going to slow Samuels down.
Samuels swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Samuels gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Samuels should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Samuels tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Burke just stands there and leans against the cage.
Burke wants a takedown but no success here.
Samuels is looking to take this one to the mat.
Samuels wants to break the clinch but can't.
Samuels is trying to force a seperation but Burke has the dominant position.

Samuels turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Samuels manages to end up in side control.

Samuels postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Burke looks a forlorn figure.

Josh Samuels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Samuels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burke swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Samuels is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Burke is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Samuels is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Samuels uses his free foot to push down on Burke's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Burke.
