Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pol Cuaresma Vi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cuaresma Vi comes into the arena with Keys to the Kingdom blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pol Cuaresma Vi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bee Jay! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cuaresma Vi sprawls well initially but Jay persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jay prevents Cuaresma Vi from improving his position. Jay perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Cuaresma Vi pushes Jay off looking to stand but Jay dives back in and keeps control.
Cuaresma Vi wants to improve his position but Jay is controlling well.
Jay controlling the pace. Cuaresma Vi is looking to control Jay's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cuaresma Vi avoid being mounted? Jay content to control rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cuaresma Vi is trying to stand up here but Jay is controlling him well. Jay is taking a breather. Cuaresma Vi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jay keeps the fight on the outside. A telegraphed right hand from Jay misses the target. Jay shoots in looking for a takedown. Cuaresma Vi tries to sprawl out of it but Jay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cuaresma Vi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Cuaresma Vi closes the distance but Jay moves to the side and Jay counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Cuaresma Vi! Cuaresma Vi is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jay's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Cuaresma Vi looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jay with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jay is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cuaresma Vi is just riding it out for now. Jay eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Jay seems content to control. Cuaresma Vi tries to roll over but Jay keeps him under control. Jay is working for a kimura but Cuaresma Vi is defending it quite comfortably.
Jay is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cuaresma Vi! Jay is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cuaresma Vi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jay wants to take his opponent's back but Cuaresma Vi doesn't allow it. Cuaresma Vi is looking to get to half guard. Cuaresma Vi is working hard here to advance position. Jay fails to move to back control. Cuaresma Vi tries to hold on but Jay pushes him away. Jay can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cuaresma Vi is looking to escape. Cuaresma Vi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cuaresma Vi is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Jay jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cuaresma Vi manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cuaresma Vi tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jay wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Jay controlling the position. Cuaresma Vi can't do much from the bottom here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jay tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bee Jay dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jay throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jay scores with a crisp jab that stopped Cuaresma Vi in his tracks. Cuaresma Vi is looking to clinch but Jay is avoiding it.
Jay tries for a takedown but Cuaresma Vi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Cuaresma Vi defending well as Jay loads up on a big left hand. Cuaresma Vi tries to clinch there but Jay circles away.
Cuaresma Vi has closed the distance and engaged Jay in a clinch.
Cuaresma Vi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Cuaresma Vi works on Jay's body with a couple of short punches. Cuaresma Vi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jay pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cuaresma Vi lands a really nice looking cross but Jay seems unphased.
Cuaresma Vi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jay. Jay misses with a hook. Cuaresma Vi ducked under it nicely. Cuaresma Vi tries to clinch there but Jay circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cuaresma Vi moves in looking to clinch but Jay pushes him off. Cuaresma Vi tries to clinch up but Jay circles away and keeps his distance. Jay takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cuaresma Vi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Cuaresma Vi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jay sprawls and moves away. Jay lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bee Jay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cuaresma Vi throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jay throws a leg kick which misses Cuaresma Vi's front leg but catches the back leg as Cuaresma Vi tries to avoid it. Jay shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cuaresma Vi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jay slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cuaresma Vi has Jay pulled in close to control his posture. Cuaresma Vi keeping moving, preventing Jay from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jay looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Cuaresma Vi trying to control the position.
Jay slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cuaresma Vi has his foot on Jay's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jay works his way back into a safe position though. Cuaresma Vi seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Cuaresma Vi lands a jab to the head.
Jay has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cuaresma Vi fails in his attempt to clinch. Jay tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Jay goes for a double leg but Cuaresma Vi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cuaresma Vi continues to drive forward. Jay scores with a jab to the jaw. Jay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Cuaresma Vi tries to clinch there but Jay circles away.

Cuaresma Vi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jay manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jay tries to keep at a distance but Cuaresma Vi has taken the fight into the clinch. Cuaresma Vi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jay backwards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cuaresma Vi lands a right hand. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cuaresma Vi. Cuaresma Vi scores with a shoulder strike. Cuaresma Vi swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Cuaresma Vi cracks Jay with a nice body shot. Cuaresma Vi misses with a hook from the clinch. Cuaresma Vi tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Cuaresma Vi tries a body shot but Jay blocks it.
Cuaresma Vi lands a nice uppercut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jay has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Cuaresma Vi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Cuaresma Vi fails to land. Jay working hard to break the clinch. Cuaresma Vi tries to throw a body punch but Jay avoids it by throwing Cuaresma Vi back against the cage. Jay has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Cuaresma Vi seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Jay can turn it around. Cuaresma Vi pushes Jay back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Jay throws a leg kick but Cuaresma Vi sees it coming and checks it nicely. Cuaresma Vi throws an overhand right that lands on Jay's shoulder, as Jay tries to avoid the shot. Cuaresma Vi tries to close the distance and clinch but Jay swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pol Cuaresma Vi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bee Jay is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Pol Cuaresma Vi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jay thuds his right hand into Cuaresma Vi's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
And that's the end of the fight! Pol Cuaresma Vi showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jay has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
