Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Castor Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nickey Spillane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Castor Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nickey Spillane!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spillane tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rollins, right into the meat.
Spillane slips under a jab.
Spillane scores with a kick to the midsection.
The fight stays on the outside here - Spillane looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Rollins goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rollins attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Spillane takes a swing at Rollins's ribcage but misses.
Rollins was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Spillane avoids a kick to the body.
Nice cross by Rollins.

Spillane scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spillane scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rollins to see if he's OK.
The strikes coming from Spillane are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Rollins tries to improve position but can't.

Spillane cracks Rollins with a big right hand but Rollins just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spillane seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rollins wants to improve his position but Spillane is controlling well.
Rollins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Spillane is working away from the top position though.
Rollins wants to get back to full guard.

Spillane working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Spillane wants to take a breather but Rollins is having none of it.
Spillane is just content to waste time from the top position. Rollins takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Spillane postures up in Rollins's guard and throws a big left but Rollins blocks it.
Rollins wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Rollins wants to control but Spillane passes easily into half guard.
Spillane wants to take a breather but Rollins is having none of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Spillane lands with a punch from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Spillane tries to bum rush Rollins with a series of wild strikes but Rollins uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rollins misses with an uppercut.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rollins.
Nice body kick there by Spillane.
Rollins ducks under a wild hook from Spillane.
Spillane throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rollins counters with a head kick.
Rollins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Spillane.
Rollins appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Spillane scores with a nice head shot.
Rollins motions for Spillane to come forward. Rollins throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Spillane misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nice body punch from Rollins.
A slow jab from Spillane misses its intended target.
Spillane misses the shot to the body.
Rollins has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rollins there as he acknowledges the shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spillane tries to land a leg kick but Rollins saw it coming and moves away.
Rollins throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Rollins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Spillane counters with a lovely straight right hand!


Rollins is rocked!
A shot to the liver by Spillane. Beautiful body shot.
Rollins moves away from the strike by Spillane.
Spillane chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Spillane goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rollins tries to work over Spillane's front leg with a kick but Spillane checks it.
Spillane misses with a takedown attempt
and Rollins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rollins gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Spillane.
Oh Rollins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rollins uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Spillane has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Spillane grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Rollins takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Spillane cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nickey Spillane!
During a confident post fight interview, Nickey Spillane thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
