The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas lands with a good body shot.
Lester fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thomas sprawls well initially but Lester persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thomas wants to stand back up but Lester manages to pass into side control.
Lester has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Thomas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
