Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dever tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gibson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Gibson rushes Dever and presses him up against the cage.

and Gibson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Still in half guard, Gibson seems content to control.
Dever is looking to get back to full guard here but Gibson has managed to pass to side control instead.

Gibson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Dever to his feet.
A left lands for Dever.

It looks like Tobias Gibson has been cut.
Dever misses with a wild combination.
Gibson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dever sprawls and moves away.

Dever closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gibson jumps guard but Dever turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Gibson has Dever pressed against the cage, preventing Dever from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Dever's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gibson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dever did well to prevent Gibson getting side control.

Gibson decides to return to a standing position.
Gibson dives in for a single leg takedown but Dever sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dever thumps Gibson with a low kick.
Dever fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dever fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gibson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gibson throws a head kick but Dever moves out of range.
Dever misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dever stuffs the takedown attempt from Gibson. Gibson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tobias Gibson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gibson tries to clinch but Dever moves out of range.
Dever is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Dever looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dever looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gibson tries for a takedown but Dever sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gibson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dever connects with a body shot.
Gibson is breathing heavily.
Gibson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dever cracks a nice hook into Gibson's ribs.
Gibson ducks right into an uppercut from Dever.
Dever cracks Gibson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Dever closes the distance and clinches.

Dever breaks from the clinch.
Dever cracks Gibson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Gibson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Dever pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Gibson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
