Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Georgie Bryden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bryden might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dizzee Rascal - Fix Up look Sharp. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bryden misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Shaw displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Shaw is looking to clinch. Bryden looks to clinch and Shaw holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Shaw wants a takedown but no success here.
Shaw breaks the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shaw looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bryden shoots in but Shaw avoids the takedown attempt easily. Shaw scores a takedown into full mount! Shaw moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Bryden has worked his arm free - good work by Bryden!
Bryden manages to work his way to half guard, despite Shaw's best efforts. Bryden is trying to control but can't.
Bryden is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bryden controls his leg. Bryden is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shaw's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shaw's back! Shaw tries to escape but Bryden has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Bryden is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Bryden gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Bryden gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Bryden apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Bryden fails with the takedown and Shaw counters with a nice double leg into guard. Bryden not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bryden tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shaw is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Shaw looks gassed! Bryden trying to keep a closed guard but Shaw is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bryden is controlling Shaw's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shaw passes easily into side control. Nice work. Shaw tries to move to full mount but Bryden actually manages to regain half guard. Bryden is looking for a sweep. Shaw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shaw is working for a kimura but Bryden is defending it quite comfortably.
Shaw prevents Bryden from improving his position. Bryden pushes Shaw off and gets back to his feet. Bryden shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Shaw counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Shaw. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Georgie Bryden. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bryden avoiding damage as Shaw throws knees to the body.
Bryden blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Shaw throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bryden blocks it with crossed arms.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shaw can't get the takedown.
Bryden has Shaw pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Shaw manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Bryden breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shaw shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bryden pinned against the cage. Bryden gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bryden throws a body kick that misses. Bryden misses with a takedown attempt and Shaw counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bryden! Shaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bryden is looking to escape. Shaw raining down shots from the mount! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bryden really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Shaw dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Some wild striking there from Bryden.
Bryden scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bryden wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shaw keeps working. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Shaw keeping his opponent close. Bryden avoids the strikes from the bottom by Shaw. Shaw tries to bench press Bryden off him but Bryden keeps the position. Shaw is trying to control Bryden's posture but Bryden avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bryden trying to control the position but Shaw is working away. Shaw tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Shaw keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bryden throws a combination that misses and Shaw counters with a one-two to the body. A left and a right from Shaw both land. Nice combination. Shaw shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Shaw is trying to control the action in half guard but Bryden is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shaw tries to pass to full mount but Bryden defends it. Bryden is not content to let Shaw control the position. Shaw thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bryden's head. Bryden regains full guard. Nicely done. Bryden looking for a sweep. Not yet Bryden, not yet. Bryden has a closed guard, preventing Shaw from standing up. Bryden is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shaw shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bryden's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryden is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bryden throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Bryden is looking to sweep but instead, Shaw has passed into half guard.
Bryden tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Shaw has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Bryden can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Shaw can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bryden is looking to escape. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Shaw cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Shaw unloading with bombs! Bryden tries to hold on but Shaw postures up. Shaw landing strikes from the mount. Bryden really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bryden wants to control but Shaw is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Shaw showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Shaw clinches up with Bryden and pushes him back against the cage. Shaw holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Bryden can't break the clinch.
Bryden lands a body shot in the clinch.
Shaw lands a knee to the body.
Shaw jumps into guard, dragging Bryden to the mat.
Bryden looking to sit in guard and control but Shaw gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Bryden is trying to control the position but Shaw postures up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Shaw tries to free his leg and advance position but Bryden is retaining full guard. Shaw must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Shaw trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bryden's guard. Shaw lands a couple of digs. Chad Shaw has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shaw won't allow Bryden to sweep him here. Shaw distracts Bryden with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bryden is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shaw is looking to work some ground and pound but Bryden has wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shaw misses with a two punch combination.
A combination from Shaw does no damage. Shaw keeps the fight on the outside. Shaw circles away from the clinch attempt.

Bryden circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bryden with a lazy takedown attempt and Shaw counters with a left and a right that stings Bryden. No joy there for Shaw, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shaw should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. A head kick by Bryden misses and Shaw counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Bryden tries to clinch but Shaw moves out of range. Shaw tries to clinch up but Bryden circles away and keeps his distance. Shaw tries for a takedown but Bryden sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bryden tries for a takedown but Shaw circles away easily and Shaw counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bryden is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Shaw misses with a wild combination.

Bryden lands a nice uppercut. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Shaw is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bryden gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A right hook to the body lands for Shaw.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Bryden tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shaw smiles and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bryden is looking to control Shaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bryden avoid being mounted? Bryden is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Shaw jumps into side control! Bryden can't do much from the bottom here. Chad Shaw is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shaw scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bryden to see if he's OK. Georgie Bryden has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bryden is looking for a sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! Chad Shaw comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shaw has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
