Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Marduk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitchel Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marduk comes into the arena with Three 6 Mafia - It's A Fight blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Thompson's choice of entrance music: Smashing pumpkins - Disarm. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marduk tries to clinch but Thompson moves away
and Thompson counters with a nice right hand that sends Marduk toppling to the canvas! Marduk scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Thompson finish him?!
It looks like Craig Marduk has been cut.
Marduk throws a body punch but Thompson moves out of range.
A jab from Thompson finds it's way through Marduk's defenses.
Marduk clinches.
Marduk blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thompson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
A body shot lands from Thompson.
Marduk has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Thompson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marduk wants to clinch up but Thompson keeps it at a distance.
Marduk fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thompson lands a big right hand that sends Marduk crashing to the mat! Thompson stays standing though and waves Marduk back to his feet!
Marduk is rocked!
Marduk misses the shot to the body.
Thompson throws an uppercut from hell that sends Marduk clean off his feet! He's out cold! Thompson stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
