The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sepultra shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sepultra was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sepultra tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Van Helsing is not content to let Sepultra control the position.
Van Helsing pushes Sepultra away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sepultra gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Van Helsing sneaks out the side door and pushes Sepultra away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Sepultra goes for a double leg but Van Helsing avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Van Helsing continues to drive forward.

and Van Helsing counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sepultra closes this distance looking for a takedown but Van Helsing circles away.
Martin Van Helsing has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Sepultra.

Van Helsing closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Sepultra throws a punch but it's blocked by Van Helsing.

Van Helsing's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Van Helsing feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sepultra sprawling to the canvas! Sepultra rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Van Helsing finish him?!

Sepultra is rocked!
Damien Sepultra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sepultra bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Van Helsing comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Sepultra falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Sepultra was out before he hit the floor!
