Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Furious George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uruhara Hatake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George comes to the cage accompanied by Lamb of God - Descending. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Furious George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Uruhara Hatake!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hatake.
A big right from George misses.
Hatake stuffs the takedown.
George keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hatake.
George attempts a counter takedown but Hatake avoids it well and moves away.

Oooooh!!! Hatake has knocked George down with a huge combo! Hatake steps away and waves a wobbly George back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


George is rocked!
George tries to bum rush Hatake with a series of wild strikes but Hatake uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Oh George is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
George shoots for a double leg takedown but Hatake sprawls well. He's pushed George's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
George misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hatake.
Hatake tries to counter with a clinch but George shakes him off and moves away.
George seems to have got his legs back now.
Hatake misses with a body kick.

Hatake has closed the distance and engaged George in a clinch.

George misses with a hook to the ribs.
George is trying to stall.
George is trying to push Hatake away but Hatake has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
George misses with a body punch.

Hatake lands a takedown into guard.
George keeping moving, preventing Hatake from controlling successfully.
Hatake told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
George is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
George is trying to control the position but Hatake postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hatake slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from George.

George is looking for a triangle but Hatake pushes his legs off easily.
George is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with George in particular looking to stall.

George wants to control but Hatake is keeping him busy.
Hatake tries to get to full guard but George has control of the leg.
Hatake is pressing down on George's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
George is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hatake is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Hatake has his foot on George's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. George works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
George wants to control from the top but Hatake keeps moving.

George is working for a kimura but Hatake is defending it quite comfortably.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


George fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
George looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hatake misses with a kick to the body.
George appears to be looking for a big counter.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
George takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

George wants to control but Hatake is keeping busy.
Hatake seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but George does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

George is doing well to control the position and prevent Hatake from advancing to side control.
George is trying to maintain the position but Hatake is very close to passing his half guard.

George moves into full guard.
Hatake trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
George tries to land a sweep but no joy.
George seems keen to control Hatake's posture.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
George lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

George passes Hatake's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

George throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
George thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hatake wants to control but George is keeping busy.

George is looking for a kimura but Hatake is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for George to get the leverage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. George lands a nice short elbow.
Hatake is looking to improve his position.

George is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hatake defends it well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
George is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Furious George will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hatake unleashes a big counter combination but George bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

George dives in and scores a takedown into Hatake's guard.

George wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hatake, who protects the arm well.

George wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hatake keeps working.
George working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Hatake wants to improve his position, back to half guard but George has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Hatake's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Hatake is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for George!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Furious George!
Furious George seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
