Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shoei Braz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shoei Braz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fedor Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Emelianenko has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Emelianenko wants to clinch up but Braz keeps it at a distance.
Fedor Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Emelianenko closes the distance and pushes Braz back into the cage.
Braz jumps guard but Emelianenko stands there with Braz around his waist. Braz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Braz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Emelianenko is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Braz, into his guard.

Braz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Emelianenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Emelianenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Emelianenko must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Braz wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Braz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Emelianenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Braz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Braz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Emelianenko uses from the top position.

Braz is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Emelianenko rolls with it to try and escape but Braz cranks on the arm and Emelianenko is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Shoei Braz thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
