Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lester Duncan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Santiago Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick from Sanchez.
Duncan tries to clinch up but Sanchez circles away and keeps his distance.
Duncan fails with the takedown.
Sanchez throws out a counter right but Duncan avoids it with no problem.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Duncan.

Sanchez dives in and scores a takedown into Duncan's guard.

Duncan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanchez is aware though and is defending well.

Sanchez stands up from Duncan's guard - Sanchez perhaps looking for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Duncan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sanchez sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Duncan's guard.
Sanchez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Sanchez wants to pass the guard but Duncan is defending well.
Sanchez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sanchez not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Duncan is defending against the submission attempts here by Sanchez.
Duncan really is a fat lump.
Sanchez keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sanchez missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sanchez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sanchez forces his way into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Duncan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sanchez pulls his head out easily.
Duncan is breathing heavily.
Duncan is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sanchez jumps into side control!

Sanchez decides to stand back up. Sanchez steps back and let's Duncan get back to his feet.

Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Sanchez is trying to work for a kimura but Duncan is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Duncan moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sanchez throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sanchez stays in close to Duncan's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Sanchez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sanchez throws an elbow that misses. Duncan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanchez's guard. Nice move by Duncan!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santiago Sanchez dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Sanchez moves into the clinch.
Duncan is stalling here.
Duncan with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Duncan is trying to push Sanchez away but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez pulls guard.

Duncan gets to his feet - Sanchez follows without any prompting.
Duncan shoots and misses

and Sanchez counters with a crisp one two that drops Duncan! Sanchez thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Duncan to his feet! Duncan is in big trouble!

Duncan darts in and clinches Sanchez up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sanchez wants the takedown. Duncan is fighting it off but Sanchez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Duncan's guard against the cage.
Sanchez trying to control the position from guard on top but Duncan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Duncan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Duncan keeps moving.
Santiago Sanchez has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sanchez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Duncan keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Duncan looking for a sweep. Not yet Duncan, not yet.

Sanchez stands and steps away. Duncan gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Sanchez lands a big head kick that sends Duncan tumbling to the mat! Sanchez takes a step backwards and waves Duncan back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Duncan is rocked!


It looks like Lester Duncan has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sanchez goes for a small jab and connects. Now Sanchez goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Duncan stumbles back but Sanchez runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Duncan to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Duncan will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Santiago Sanchez!
