Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pyotr Korobeikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pyotr Korobeikin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent tries to clinch up.

Kent closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Korobeikin manages to break the clinch.
Kent tries to clinch but Korobeikin is having none of it.
Korobeikin scores with a jab to the head.


It looks like Clark Kent has been cut.
Clark Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent tries to clinch up but Korobeikin circles away and keeps his distance.
Kent moves in looking to clinch but Korobeikin pushes him off.
Korobeikin is looking for a counter combo.

Kent closes the distance and clinches.

Korobeikin tightens his grip and picks Kent up, before dumping him to the ground. Kent manages to land in guard.
Korobeikin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kent swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Korobeikin pushes down on Kent's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Korobeikin is taking a breather. Kent says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Korobeikin is looking for a kimura here.
Korobeikin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kent can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kent looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Korobeikin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Korobeikin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kent avoids it really well and circles away.

so Korobeikin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Clark Kent is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kent doesn't manage to clinch there - Korobeikin circles away.
Korobeikin appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Kent tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Korobeikin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Korobeikin half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Kent tries to clinch but Korobeikin moves out of range.
Korobeikin tries to counter with a takedown but Kent is quick to defend against it.
Kent is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Korobeikin cracks Kent with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Kent forces Korobeikin back against the cage and clinches.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Kent lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Korobeikin as Kent tries to tie him up.

Kent is fighting off a takedown attempt but Korobeikin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kent to the mat. Kent regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Korobeikin's corner is telling him to maintain position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kent closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Korobeikin is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kent can't fight it off and eventually Korobeikin manages to take the fight to the floor. Kent looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Korobeikin's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Pyotr Korobeikin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kent pushes Korobeikin off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Pyotr Korobeikin will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Clark Kent's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

so Korobeikin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Korobeikin wants to pass the guard but Kent is keeping the position.
Korobeikin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Korobeikin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Korobeikin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kent is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kent has escaped and now he's on top!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Korobeikin holds on and takes a little breather.
Kent wants to stand and escape but instead Korobeikin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Korobeikin drops back looking for a leg! Kent is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kent manages to kick Korobeikin off! Korobeikin jumps back into Kent's guard.

Korobeikin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Korobeikin is trying to control the action in half guard but Kent is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Kent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Korobeikin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kent tries to kick Korobeikin off but Korobeikin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kent wants to clinch.
Korobeikin tries to counter with a takedown but Kent is quick to defend against it.

Kent tries to close the distance and clinch up but Korobeikin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Clark Kent has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pyotr Korobeikin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Korobeikin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
