Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bobby Sanders has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pedro Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Sanders!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanders gets a double leg takedown into Frost's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanders accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sanders wanted to stand there but Frost had control of the position.
Frost really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sanders throws a strike but Frost rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Frost wants to stand but Sanders is controlling his posture from full guard.
Frost prevents Sanders from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanders really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frost. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanders controls Frost momentarily but Frost frees himself.
Frost with a nice head shot there.

Frost postures up.
Sanders is looking to stand up but Frost isn't so interested in that idea.
Sanders seems keen to control Frost's posture.
Sanders is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sanders throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sanders tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Frost paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sanders darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Frost keeping control of the position.
Sanders misses with a head shot. Frost uses the momentum to regain guard.
Frost is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Sanders keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Frost's head.
Sanders postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Frost keeping moving, preventing Sanders from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frost is controlling Sanders's posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sanders clinches.

Frost breaks the clinch.
Frost dives in and grabs Sanders's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanders pushes down on Frost's head and hops out.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sanders gets a clinch.
Sanders with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Frost wants to break free but Sanders has control.

Frost pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sanders doesn't manage to clinch there - Frost circles away.

Sanders feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sanders slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sanders is looking to work some ground and pound but Frost has wrist control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Sanders closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Frost's guard.
Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but Frost is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Frost pulls Sanders in close to prevent any damage.
Frost is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sanders throws an elbow that misses. Frost uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanders's guard. Nice move by Frost!

Sanders wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Frost manages to pass to side control.

Frost tries to stand but can't do so whilst Sanders controls his leg.
Sanders wants to get back to his feet.
Sanders has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Frost is working away from the top position though.

Frost is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sanders is trying to stand up here but Frost is controlling him well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanders wants to control but Frost is keeping busy.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sanders has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Frost gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Pedro Frost is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sanders looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Frost drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sanders sprawls and moves away.
A punch combination from Frost misses.

Sanders closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Frost quickly recovers to half guard.

Sanders thows a huge punch but Frost dodges it nicely.
Frost keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Frost keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Frost is trying to stand back up but Sanders is controlling him

Sanders throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Frost works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Frost wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Frost throws a right hand that Sanders ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanders also avoids with ease.

Sanders pushes Frost up against the cage in a clinch.

Sanders has Frost pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Sanders pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Frost tumbling to the mat - Sanders dives into Frost's guard.
Frost lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A close second round but Bobby Sanders will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!



Sanders moves into the clinch successfully.

Sanders breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sanders is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Sanders looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Frost!

Frost has one of Sanders's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Frost manages to get back to half guard.

Frost is looking to escape.
Sanders not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Frost avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sanders.
Sanders thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Frost's head.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sanders throws a strike but Frost avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Sanders throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Frost works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Frost preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sanders tries to clinch
and Sanders takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sanders drives through and clinches with Frost against the cage.
Frost is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Frost's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sanders has managed to clinch.

Sanders has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Frost is trying to keep an underhook but Sanders manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Sanders drops an elbow to the side of Frost's head.
Frost moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sanders working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Frost is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Frost is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sanders has managed to free his arm - good work.

Frost wants to stand up but Sanders has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Sanders moves into full guard.
Frost won't allow Sanders to get back to his feet.
Sanders is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sanders is working an open guard so Frost takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sanders takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sanders shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sanders showed some decent athleticism there.
Sanders not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Sanders is looking for submissions but instead, Frost has regained full guard.
Bobby Sanders is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Sanders wants to get up but he can't break Frost's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

And that's the end of the fight!

I've got Sanders winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
