Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Stewart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Stark!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart fails with an attempt to clinch.

Stark closes the distance and clinches.
Stark lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stewart backwards.

Stark has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Stewart uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stark has Stewart pulled in close to control his posture.
Stewart throws a big elbow that misses.
Stark pulls Stewart in to control the position.
Stewart is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at School of Hard Knocks that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Stewart stopping the sweep attempt from Stark.
Stark pulls Stewart in close to prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stewart is standing up over Stark. Stark looks to escape but Stewart dives into side control.

Stark is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Stewart's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Stark moves into full guard.
Stewart is breathing heavily.
Stark with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Stewart can't handle though.
Stark pulls Stewart in close to prevent any damage.
Stark is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Stark trying to control from half guard but Stewart is working away.

Stark stalling.
Stark looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stewart with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Stark moves nicely into side control.
Stark is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Stewart will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Stark is looking to take a break and control but Stewart is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Stark is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stewart has escaped the position, nice work there.
Stark connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Stewart some visible discomfort.

Stark decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Stark closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Stewart's guard.
Stark is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Stark keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Stewart's head.

Stark decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Stewart slips a jab and a cross from Stark.

Stark gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Stark jumps guard and drags Stewart to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Stark pulls Stewart in close to prevent any damage.
We've been informed that Stark has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Stark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stewart doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Stark is tightening it up a little... Stewart has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Stewart reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Stewart taps out! Nice BJJ there by Stark!
