Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Popoy Kenjutsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doby Burkhardt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Popoy Kenjutsu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Popoy Kenjutsu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Popoy Kenjutsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Doby Burkhardt! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kenjutsu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kenjutsu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Kenjutsu fails with a takedown attempt. Burkhardt gets the takedown into side control. Burkhardt tries to advance to mount but can't. Burkhardt wants to stand but Kenjutsu has his arm trapped. Kenjutsu is looking to reverse the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burkhardt tries to advance to mount but can't. Kenjutsu is trying to control Burkhardt's posture but Burkhardt avoids it. Burkhardt taking a breather here. Burkhardt scoring with punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burkhardt in side control lands a decent elbow. Burkhardt moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Burkhardt tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Kenjutsu tries to escape but Burkhardt is in control. Burkhardt wants to stand but Kenjutsu has his arm trapped. Burkhardt content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Burkhardt works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Kenjutsu is being controlled here. Burkhardt tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Burkhardt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kenjutsu tries to improve position but can't. Burkhardt taking a breather here. Kenjutsu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Burkhardt wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Burkhardt tries to stand but Kenjutsu is controlling his head. Kenjutsu wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Kenjutsu tries to improve position but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Burkhardt tries to advance to mount but Kenjutsu denies him. Burkhardt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Burkhardt throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kenjutsu shoots and misses and Burkhardt counters with a nice uppercut. Burkhardt doesn't manage to clinch there - Kenjutsu circles away.
Burkhardt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kenjutsu swivels and escapes. Kenjutsu tries a head kick but it misses.
Kenjutsu slips a jab and a cross from Burkhardt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Burkhardt throws a one two combo.
Burkhardt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kenjutsu doesn't seem bothered though. Burkhardt throws a lazy head kick and Kenjutsu counters with a body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Doby Burkhardt dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kenjutsu tries to clinch there but Burkhardt circles away.
Burkhardt misses with a two punch combination.

Doby Burkhardt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kenjutsu is looking to clinch. Danga de danga de dang - Burkhardt scores with a four punch combination! Burkhardt throws a nice looking combination but Kenjutsu bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kenjutsu misses with a combination
and Burkhardt counters with a single leg into guard. Kenjutsu didn't expect that. Kenjutsu tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kenjutsu throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kenjutsu wants to stand and escape but Burkhardt is having none of it. Kenjutsu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Burkhardt throwing strikes from guard but Kenjutsu blocks nicely. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenjutsu wants to sweep here but Burkhardt controlling him for the moment. Burkhardt prevents Kenjutsu from getting back to his feet. Burkhardt looking to pass the guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Burkhardt blocks a head kick by Kenjutsu.
Burkhardt misses with a double jab.
Burkhardt feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Burkhardt controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenjutsu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burkhardt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Burkhardt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burkhardt pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kenjutsu is keeping the position for now. Kenjutsu wants to sweep here but Burkhardt controlling him for the moment. Burkhardt sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kenjutsu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burkhardt tries to free his leg and advance position but Kenjutsu is retaining full guard. Burkhardt tries to stand but Kenjutsu is controlling from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Burkhardt scores with a body shot.
Burkhardt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kenjutsu as he jumps to the side. Kenjutsu tries for a takedown but Burkhardt circles away easily and Burkhardt counters with a series of strikes. Kenjutsu will be more careful next time no doubt. Kenjutsu shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kenjutsu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Kenjutsu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burkhardt paws at him with a jab and circles away. Burkhardt jabs at Kenjutsu's body. Nice sprawl there from Kenjutsu as Burkhardt shoots in. Kenjutsu tries for a takedown but Burkhardt circles away easily enabling Burkhardt to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Popoy Kenjutsu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kenjutsu doesn't succeed with the takedown and Burkhardt counters with a nice uppercut. Kenjutsu moves into the clinch successfully.

Burkhardt stays in close to Kenjutsu's body and controls the position. Kenjutsu looking for a guillotine here but Burkhardt defends easily.

Doby Burkhardt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Burkhardt keeps the fight on the outside. Burkhardt lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Popoy Kenjutsu has been cut. Donk. Burkhardt catches Kenjutsu right on the button with a cross. Burkhardt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Burkhardt throws a head kick that misses. Burkhardt gets the takedown into side control. Burkhardt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kenjutsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Burkhardt tries to advance to mount but can't. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kenjutsu struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burkhardt trying to control the position but Kenjutsu is working away. Kenjutsu is being controlled here. Burkhardt throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Burkhardt controlling the position from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Burkhardt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kenjutsu keeps working. Kenjutsu regains half guard there - taking advantage of Burkhardt's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Burkhardt is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Burkhardt prevents Kenjutsu from improving his position. Kenjutsu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Burkhardt is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kenjutsu missing with punches from the bottom.
Burkhardt is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Burkhardt throws a head kick that misses so Kenjutsu counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kenjutsu wanted to stand there but Burkhardt had control of the position. Burkhardt pulls Kenjutsu in close to prevent any damage.

And that's the end of the fight! Doby Burkhardt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Burkhardt winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
