Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Ingi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Owen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gunnar Ingi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kevin Owen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ingi lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Kevin Owen has been cut.

Owen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ingi's guard.

Owen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ingi, up you get!
The fight stays on the outside here - Ingi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Owen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Owen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ingi is proving hard to escape from.

Owen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Owen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ingi swivels and escapes.
Owen dives in for a single leg takedown but Ingi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Owen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ingi was covering up waiting for the punch and Owen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kevin Owen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Owen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ingi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Owen decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Owen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ingi sprawls well. Ingi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Owen gets slowly back to his feet.
Ingi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Owen. That did some damage!

Owen unleashes a big counter combination but Ingi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Ingi shoots in but no luck this time.
Owen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ingi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Owen somewhat.
Ingi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Owen backs up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ingi shoots in but Owen avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Owen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Ingi closes the distance and clinches up with Owen, looking for a takedown. Ingi pushes Owen against the cage but Owen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Owen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ingi quickly recovers to half guard.

Owen stands up and beckons Ingi to join him on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Owen decides to return to a standing position.
Owen dives in for a single leg takedown but Ingi sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Owen.
A punch combination from Ingi misses.

Owen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like Owen is going to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ingi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Owen decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Owen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ingi is trying to defend but Owen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ingi stalks Owen and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Owen's face. Owen staggers backwards, shaken.

Owen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ingi on his heels. He'll look to pass Ingi's guard now, I'm sure.

Ingi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Owen defends it easily.

Owen gets to his feet. Ingi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gunnar Ingi.
I think Ingi has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
