Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Ysengrin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Woody Forrest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dave Ysengrin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dave Ysengrin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave Ysengrin! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Woody Forrest! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Forrest throws a lazy right hand but Ysengrin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Ysengrin tries to land a front kick but Forrest steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ysengrin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ysengrin throws a solid leg kick but Forrest takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ysengrin. A big left from Ysengrin misses. Ysengrin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Ysengrin throws a series of punches but Forrest moves out of range. Forrest is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Forrest's coach down at All Time Wrestling was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Forrest's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Forrest slips a jab from Ysengrin. Ysengrin lands a really nice looking cross but Forrest seems unphased.
Ysengrin throws a right and a left that Forrest avoids nicely. Forrest swings widly with a right hand
enabling Ysengrin to counter with a crisp jab. Jab from Forrest. Forrest throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Forrest misses the shot to the body. Forrest just misses with a punch to the body.
Forrest smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ysengrin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Forrest looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ysengrin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Forrest. Ysengrin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Forrest's head. Both fighters circling a little - Ysengrin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Ysengrin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Forrest stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Forrest keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ysengrin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Forrest. Forrest throws a looping overhand right but Ysengrin ducks down to avoid it. Ysengrin is looking to counter with a shot to the body. A telegraphed right hand from Forrest misses the target. Ysengrin fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Ysengrin stuns Forrest with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Forrest looks winded! Forrest throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ysengrin. Forrest tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ysengrin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Forrest throws a lazy uppercut
and Ysengrin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Forrest avoids a low kick by using good footwork. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ysengrin moves out of range as Forrest strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ysengrin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Ysengrin digs a good hook to Forrest's body.
Ysengrin is looking to wear down Forrest with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Ysengrin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Forrest doesn't seem bothered though. Ysengrin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Woody Forrest seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ysengrin.
Forrest takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Ysengrin throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Ysengrin connects with a body shot. Ysengrin throws out a powerful jab. Forrest looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ysengrin lands a right hand from hell, dropping Forrest. Ysengrin pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dave Ysengrin! Dave Ysengrin is the new heavyweight champion! Dave Ysengrin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
