Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Fabbri, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fabbri scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taisumov wants to get back to his feet.
Fabbri thows a huge punch but Taisumov dodges it nicely.
Fabbri seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Taisumov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

You get the feeling that Taisumov really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Fabbri definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Taisumov can do anything to dispel that myth.

Fabbri looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Taisumov covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Saverio Fabbri decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
