Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Urano Liberte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell comes to the cage accompanied by It's Dark and Hell Is Hot. Liberte comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bad To The Bone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
34 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Urano Liberte!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liberte thumps Liddell with a low kick.
Liddell takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Liberte feints a jab promting Liddell to slip. Liberte then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Liddell slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Chuck Liddell has been cut.
Liddell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Liberte looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Liberte is not content to let Liddell control the position.

Liberte is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Liddell controls the position from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Liddell wants to control but Liberte is keeping him busy.
Liberte tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Liddell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Liddell throws a strike aimed at the side of Liberte's head but Liberte avoids it well.

Liberte is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Liddell's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Liberte works his way to full guard. Good work.
Liberte wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Liddell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Liberte swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Liberte lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Liddell sprawling to the canvas. Liberte follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Liddell hang on?
Liberte perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Liberte wants to free his trapped foot but Liddell is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Liddell is trying to maintain the position but Liberte is very close to passing his half guard.
Ground and pound from Liberte.
Liddell trying to control but Liberte postures up.
Liddell is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Liberte is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Liberte thows a huge punch but Liddell dodges it nicely.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Liddell chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Liberte can pounce on him.
Liberte steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Liddell.
Liberte connects with a leg kick. Liddell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Liddell throws a nice inside leg kick.
Liddell throws a leg kick but Liberte sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Liddell dives in and grabs Liberte's left leg, looking for a takedown. Liberte pushes down on Liddell's head and hops out.
Liddell on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Liberte checks a low kick from Liddell.
Liberte scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Liberte cracks the inside of Liddell's front leg.
Liberte throws a leg kick which misses Liddell's front leg but catches the back leg as Liddell tries to avoid it.
Liberte connects with a jab.
Chuck Liddell's cut is getting worse.
Liberte cracks Liddell with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Liddell tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Liberte pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Liddell is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Urano Liberte!
A very excited looking Urano Liberte made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
