Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnathon Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Petit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnathon Saunders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Petit! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petit throws a head kick that misses and Saunders holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Petit is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Saunders is defending well. Saunders has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Petit avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Petit decides to pull guard. Petit has his hands on Saunders's head, controlling the position. Saunders loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Petit looking to hit a scissor sweep but Saunders is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Saunders in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Petit is looking for a triangle but Saunders pushes his legs off easily.

Saunders stopping the sweep attempt from Petit. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petit avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Petit manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Saunders manages to get himself to full guard.
Saunders really is a fat lump. Petit in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Saunders is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Petit controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Saunders is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Petit is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saunders utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Petit stays in close to Saunders's body and controls the position. Saunders working for a triangle but Petit defends it easily.
Petit advances position into side control! Saunders is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saunders parries the strikes from Petit easily there. Petit is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Saunders to escape.
Saunders is not content to let Petit control the position. Saunders is trying to get back to his feet. Petit throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Saunders works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Saunders is trying to stand back up but Petit is controlling him

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Petit fails to land the takedown. Saunders seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Petit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Saunders as he jumps to the side. An attempted straight right counter from Saunders misses the target. Johnathon Saunders has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Petit. Petit moves into the clinch. Saunders fails to pull guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Saunders goes for a takedown in the clinch but Petit prevents it.

Petit fails with a takedown attempt. Saunders swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Petit is defended easily by Saunders. Petit looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Saunders seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Saunders slaps away a takedown attempt from Petit, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petit has a takedown stuffed. Petit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saunders tries to avoid it but Petit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saunders to the ground. Saunders escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Saunders seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Petit throws a sloppy head kick and Saunders moves out of range easily. Saunders wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Petit tries to clinch but fails miserably and Petit takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Petit ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Petit wants to clinch up but Saunders keeps it at a distance. Petit tries to clinch but Saunders moves out of range. Petit closes the distance and pushes Saunders back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saunders is working for takedown but Petit is calmly controlling the position for now. Petit looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Saunders tries for a takedown. No joy.

Petit is trying to force a seperation but Saunders has the dominant position. Petit jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Saunders walks away with a smile on his face. Petit gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Saunders takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Saunders tries to counter by clinching up but Petit breaks away and moves out of range. No luck for Petit with that takedown attempt. Petit is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saunders circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnathon Saunders is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Petit shoots in looking for a takedown but Saunders manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Petit's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. As Petit looks to move away, Saunders throws a big counter combo bu Petit just gets out of the way. Saunders tries to clinch up but Petit circles away and keeps his distance. Petit with a lazy takedown attempt and Petit takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Petit pivots, looking for a leg kick but Saunders is out of range and Petit settles back down. Saunders ducks under a wild hook from Petit. Petit pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Petit will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Petit tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Saunders swivels and escapes. Saunders scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Saunders winds up and cracks Petit with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ground and pound from Saunders. Saunders is nestled in close to Petit, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Saunders is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Petit has managed to free his arm - good work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Saunders tries to stand but his arm is trapped. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Petit tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Saunders paws at him with a jab and circles away. Petit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Petit has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Saunders down to the mat. Saunders avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Johnathon Saunders has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Petit. Petit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Saunders avoids a punch combination nicely.

Petit leaves Saunders with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Petit tries to clinch but Saunders moves out of range. Saunders wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petit tries to clinch but Saunders is having none of it. Saunders takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Petit shoots in and drives through. Saunders sprawls well. Petit darts in and clinches Saunders up against the cage. Saunders drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Petit gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Petit jumps guard but Saunders turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A battle for position here, against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saunders is trying to break free. Saunders keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Petit's efforts to push away. Petit is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Saunders as Petit tries to tie him up. A quick uppercut on the inside from Petit.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Saunders prevents Petit from breaking the clinch. Petit throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Saunderss head. Petit wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Petit looking to slow down the pace here. Saunders is defending well against a takedown attempt. Petit is working for takedown but Saunders is calmly controlling the position for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Petit pulls guard effortlessly. Saunders working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Jean Petit comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Petit has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
