Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
34 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ender Wiggin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jules Winnfield! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Winnfield tries to score with a low kick but Wiggin moves his leg out of the way. Winnfield moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Wiggin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wiggin throws a nice looking combination but Winnfield bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Winnfield! But no joy. Wiggin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Wiggin goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Jules Winnfield has been cut. Winnfield lands an overhand right.
It looks like Ender Wiggin has been cut. Winnfield walks into a stiff left hand from Wiggin. Winnfield looks to land a right hand but Wiggin moved out of range. Winnfield's jab looks to have found its range, popping Wiggin under the eye.
Wiggin is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wiggin slips under a jab. Oh Wiggin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A slow jab from Winnfield misses its intended target. Wiggin seems to have got his legs back now. Wiggin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Wiggin moves in looking to clinch but Winnfield pushes him off. Winnfield fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wiggin manages to avoid it. Winnfield cracks the inside of Wiggin's front leg. Winnfield misses with a two punch combination.
Winnfield cracks Wiggin with a good jab. Winnfield clinches up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Winnfield. Winnfield blocking some punches.
Wiggin misses with an elbow over the top. Wiggin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Winnfield is stalling here.
Wiggin looking to throw knees to the head but Winnfield is blocking nicely.
Winnfield scores with a nice hook to the head. Winnfield lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Winnfield lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Wiggin to his knees! Winnfield keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jules Winnfield! Jules Winnfield decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
