Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimbei Waterfall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mezar Mynzek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimbei Waterfall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mezar Mynzek! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Waterfall throws a head kick that misses. Waterfall instigates a clinch. Waterfall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Waterfall doesn't manage to clinch there - Mynzek circles away.
Waterfall keeps the fight on the outside. Mynzek fails in his attempt to clinch. Waterfall decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mynzek works his way to full guard. Good work. Waterfall throwing strikes but missing. Waterfall controlling from the top position. Mynzek keeping full guard, as Waterfall tries to pass. Waterfall stopping the sweep attempt from Mynzek.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mynzek scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Waterfall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mynzek throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Waterfall. Mynzek uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Waterfall.
Waterfall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mynzek as he jumps to the side. Waterfall misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimbei Waterfall. That's going to take a lot out of him. Waterfall shoots in but Mynzek avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck for Waterfall with that takedown attempt. The fight stays on the outside here - Mynzek looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jimbei Waterfall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Waterfall fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Waterfall is breathing heavily. Waterfall shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mynzek as he avoids it easily. Mynzek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Waterfall pinned against the cage. Waterfall gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Mynzek misses with a takedown and Waterfall counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Mynzek drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Waterfall slows down the pace here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mynzek tries to pull guard but Waterfall won't allow it.
Waterfall drags the fight down to the ground.
Mynzek trying to control the position from guard on top but Waterfall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mynzek passes Waterfall's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Mynzek wants to control but Waterfall is keeping him busy. Mynzek drops an elbow to the side of Waterfall's head. Waterfall is not content to let Mynzek control the position. Mynzek stands up from half guard. Mynzek gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Waterfall counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mynzek!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waterfall avoids the attempt from Mynzek to control. Mynzek is wriggling around trying to escape.
Waterfall misses with a head shot. Mynzek tries to reverse the position but Waterfall maintains control. Waterfall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mynzek on the ground. Waterfall controlling the pace for now. Mynzek is trying desperately to improve position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimbei Waterfall dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Waterfall has closed the distance and engaged Mynzek in a clinch.
Waterfall has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mynzek regains guard immediately. Mynzek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Waterfall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Waterfall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mynzek controls Waterfall momentarily but Waterfall frees himself. Mynzek manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Waterfall manages to get himself to full guard.
Waterfall is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mynzek is breathing heavily. Waterfall has his foot on Mynzek's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mynzek works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mynzek gets to his feet - Waterfall follows without any prompting. No luck for Mynzek with that takedown attempt. Waterfall misses with a takedown and Mynzek counters with a takedown into side control. Mynzek looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Mynzek thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Waterfall struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mynzek wants to lay and pray for a moment but Waterfall keeps working. Mynzek tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Mynzek wants to control but Waterfall is keeping him busy. Waterfall dodges the ground and pound from Mynzek. Mynzek working away. Mynzek is looking to take a break and control but Waterfall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Waterfall swats away the attempt to clinch by Mynzek. A head kick misses from Waterfall. Nice takedown defense from Waterfall. No joy for Mynzek on that attempt. Waterfall rushes Mynzek and presses him up against the cage. Waterfall unloads a knee to the mid-section. Mynzek lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Waterfall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Waterfall tries for a takedown but Mynzek circles away easily and Mynzek counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Waterfall!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waterfall has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Mynzek's lack of action.
Waterfall slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Mynzek trying to control but Waterfall is working from the bottom. Waterfall managing to control the position. Waterfall wants to stand but Mynzek is controlling the position. Mynzek sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mezar Mynzek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Waterfall fails in his attempt to clinch. Mynzek misses with a takedown and Waterfall holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Waterfall lands a body shot in the clinch.
Waterfall is pressed up against the cage. Mynzek has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Waterfall down to the mat. Waterfall avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Waterfall feints and as Mynzek raises his hands in defense, Waterfall changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mynzek working a defensive guard here.
Waterfall slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Waterfall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Mynzek, up you get! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waterfall looks to clinch and Mynzek counters with a nice double leg into side control. Waterfall won't be happy with that. Mynzek decides to stand up, so the ref orders Waterfall to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Waterfall. Mynzek is looking for a sweep. Mynzek is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mynzek gets back to half guard. Mynzek is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Waterfall pulls his head out easily. Waterfall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mynzek does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mynzek throws out a leg kick but Waterfall moves out of range and Mynzek only half commits. Waterfall tries for a takedown but Mynzek circles away easily and Mynzek counters with a nice kick to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mynzek misses with a takedown and Waterfall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jimbei Waterfall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mezar Mynzek. Waterfall trying to mount his opponent but Mynzek defends it. Mynzek missing with punches from the bottom.
Waterfall wants to stand but Mynzek has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Mynzek is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Mynzek is staying active underneath Waterfall, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waterfall thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mynzek gets full guard. Waterfall tries to free his leg and advance position but Mynzek is retaining full guard. Mynzek tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mynzek throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Mynzek is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Waterfall slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mynzek pulls Waterfall in close to his closed guard and prevents Waterfall from doing any damage or advancing position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimbei Waterfall showed his dominance in that final round. I think Waterfall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
