Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sherwood Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Floyd Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherwood Cameron has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sherwood Cameron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Floyd Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lewis lands a leg kick that knocks Cameron off balance momentarily.

Lewis feints and as Cameron raises his hands in defense, Lewis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Cameron is trying to keep Lewis in close.
Cameron keeping moving, preventing Lewis from controlling successfully.
Cameron could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lewis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Cameron is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lewis wants to control from the top but Cameron keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lewis in particular looking to stall.
Lewis uses his free foot to push down on Cameron's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Cameron.
Lewis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cameron gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Cameron is controlling an arm, preventing Lewis from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Let's hope that Lewis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lewis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cameron sprawls well initially but Lewis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Well, with Lewis on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Cameron is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Well Lewis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
