Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Cesar Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Liam Bourne!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourne closes the distance but Waters moves to the side

and Waters counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Waters trying to control the position from guard on top but Bourne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bourne not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bourne working for a triangle but Waters defends it easily.
Bourne is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bourne looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bourne wants to stand up but Waters is controlling him.
Bourne keeping moving, preventing Waters from controlling successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bourne wants to take a breather but Waters is having none of it.
Bourne seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Bourne is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Waters has managed to free his arm - good work.
Waters wants to get back to his feet.
Bourne throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Bourne throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Waters is concentrating on defense, preventing Bourne from advancing position.

Bourne looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Waters is defending against the submission attempts here by Bourne.
Bourne stalling away here and it's allowed Waters to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bourne working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bourne wants to pass the guard but Waters is keeping the position.
Bourne working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Waters's head.
Waters wants to stand but Bourne is controlling the position.
Bourne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waters swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Waters tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bourne manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bourne looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Waters gets caught flat footed, as Bourne shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bourne looking to sit in guard and control but Waters gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Bourne looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Waters passes into half guard.
Bourne wants to sweep but Waters has passed to side control!

Waters knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bourne on the ground.
Waters looks like he's trying to stand up.

Waters pushes Bourne off looking to stand but Bourne dives back in and keeps control.

Liam Bourne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Waters fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bourne sprawls well initially but Waters persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bourne slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Bourne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Waters doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Waters manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bourne holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bourne pushes Waters off looking to stand but Waters dives back in and keeps control.

Bourne has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Waters regains guard immediately.

Bourne gets to his feet - Waters follows without any prompting.

Bourne changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Waters looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bourne takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Waters is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bourne has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Bourne has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Liam Bourne is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Waters tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Bourne decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Bourne throws a head kick but Waters moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bourne swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Waters fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cesar Waters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bourne rushes Waters and presses him up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Liam Bourne comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bourne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
