The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lhant lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Lhant lands a nice shot that snaps Messier's head back.
Messier takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Messier throws a right hand that Lhant ducks under and follows up with a left that Lhant also avoids with ease.
Messier on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lhant throws a one two combo.

It looks like Maurice Messier has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lhant lands with a right hand.
Lhant lands with a hook. Messier tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Messier is rocked!

Lhant lands a left and a right that send Messier crashing to the mat, dazed. Lhant thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Messier is still on wobbly legs! Can Lhant finish him?
Lhant wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Messier walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Lhant swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Post fight, Pascal Lhant stared into the camera and said 'It was your own vanity that bested you! ... Or not. You not flying here until a few hours before the fight probably didn't help, though!'.
