The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flaminio shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Flaminio was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Flaminio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Geriosa defends it nicely.
Flaminio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Geriosa tries to avoid it but Flaminio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Geriosa to the ground. Geriosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Flaminio doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Geriosa counters with a three punch combo that has Flaminio backing up. Flaminio nods at Geriosa to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donatello Flaminio. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Flaminio is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Geriosa looks calm but he's in trouble here. Flaminio gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Geriosa is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Flaminio lets go of the hold and Geriosa can pop his arm back in it's socket.
