Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dominik Dudek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ambroos Joost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ambroos Joost was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dominik Dudek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ambroos Joost! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joost cracks Dudek with a right hand to the side of the head. Dudek takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dudek looks for a takedown but Joost sprawls well. Dudek rushes Joost and presses him up against the cage. Joost blocks an elbow strike from Dudek.
Dudek can't break the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joost lands a body shot. Joost's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dudek gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joost moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. We've been hearing reports that Dudek has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Dudek gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Joost. Dudek closes the distance and clinches. Joost has Dudek pressed against the cage.
Dudek tries to break free but Joost pushes him back against the cage. Dudek gets control of Joost's arms and successfully pulls guard. Dudek will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Joost tries to stand but Dudek is controlling from the bottom. Dudek keeping moving, preventing Joost from controlling successfully. Joost prevents Dudek from getting back to his feet.

Joost must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dudek wants to sweep but no luck. Dudek bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Joost's guard. Dudek trying to stand up but can't free himself from Joost's guard. Dudek is looking to work some ground and pound but Joost has wrist control. Dudek is pushing down on Joost's leg trying to pass to half guard. Joost is fighting to maintain full guard but Dudek has managed to sneak the leg through. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dudek trying to mount his opponent but Joost defends it. Still in half guard, Dudek seems content to control. It looks like Dudek is going to stand back up.
Joost is looking to control Dudek's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Joost avoid being mounted? It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dudek not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Nice sprawl there from Joost as Dudek shoots in. Nice body punch from Joost. Joost throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheers as Joost lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dudek doesn't seem phased though. The fight stays on the outside here - Joost looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dudek goes for a double leg but Joost avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Joost continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominik Dudek. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dudek misses with a wild body shot. Joost feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Dudek's calf. Ambroos Joost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A solid leg kick lands there for Joost.

Dudek didn't see that one coming. Joost connects with a leg kick. Dudek looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Dudek looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ambroos Joost dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Joost shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dudek eats them both and turns towards Joost to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Dudek gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Joost. Joost has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dudek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joost pinned against the cage. Joost gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Joost swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Dudek shoots in and gets a takedown into Joost's guard. Joost is trying to control the position from the bottom.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Joost looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dudek takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Joost lands a jab. Good standup being displayed there by Joost as he connects with a hook. An inside leg kick lands from Joost. Dudek tries to close the distance and clinch up but Joost swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dudek changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Joost tries to avoid it but Dudek manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Joost to the ground. Joost escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Joost stuns Dudek with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Dominik Dudek is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dudek closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Joost working hard to break the clinch. Joost lands a hook to the side of the head. Joost is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Joost is pressed up against the cage. Dudek has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Joost down to the mat. Joost avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dominik Dudek. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Joost displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Dudek takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Joost closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Joost uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Dudek has time to react. Oh Dudek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ambroos Joost seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dudek shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Joost napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dudek tries for a kimura but Joost is defending well. Dudek seems to have got his legs back now. Dudek tries to score with some ground and pound. Joost controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dudek wants to stand but Joost has his arm trapped. Joost is working to avoid the ground and pound but Dudek connects with a decent elbow. Dudek takes a little break here. Joost wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Dudek misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Dudek is looking to take a break and control but Joost is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ambroos Joost showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Dudek acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Dudek closes the distance and clinches. Joost using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Joost swings wildly with an uppercut but Dudek uses good head movement to avoid it. Dudek fails to pull guard.
Joost escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Joost clobbers Dudek with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Joost connects with a right hand. Dudek shakes it off. Joost moves into range and connects with a jab. Jab by Joost. Joost lunges at Dudek with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Dudek's hand. Dudek's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Joost connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dudek scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dudek gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Joost with a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joost has a takedown stuffed. Joost sizes up Dudek with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Joost throws a combination. Dudek tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Joost throws a nice inside leg kick.
